Design and production of out-of-standard components based on the client’s project or specifications

Not every system requirement can be solved with catalogue components: when the geometry, dimensions, available space or operating conditions fall outside standard ranges, the right answer isn’t an adapted pipe, but a special part designed and manufactured to measure, built around the system’s actual needs. With over thirty years of experience, MT Camini designs and produces custom, made-to-drawing special parts, outside standard ranges, developed either from its own project or based on the client’s specifications and drawings. This isn’t just about piping: every component of the flue — fittings, bends, reducers, terminals, connecting elements and complex geometries — can be reconceived and manufactured to specification when the standard product isn’t enough. These are components made from a technical drawing or from the client’s detailed specifications, outside the geometries, diameters, thicknesses or materials of the standard ranges: not a catalogue product, but custom design and machining that starts from the system’s actual data — sections, dimensions, constraints, operating conditions, construction drawing — to arrive at a part built to those exact requirements, compliant with regulations and designed to last.

When they’re needed

Special parts come into play whenever the system or appliance has unconventional characteristics. Among the most common cases:

  • Components designed by the client (designer, installer or company) and manufactured by MT Camini from a supplied technical drawing.
  • Constrained spaces and dimensions, where the available geometry doesn’t match series products and a custom-shaped part is required.
  • Renovations and upgrades of older systems, where the original components have no direct match among current standard products.
  • Special operating conditions, such as high-temperature flue gases, aggressive condensate or unusual pressure regimes.
  • Industrial and production plants with specific requirements for flow rate, cross-section, geometry or material.
  • Unconventional cross-sections and shapes (oval, rectangular, square, special geometries) required by the architectural or system context.

Materials and finishes

Beyond the stainless steels most commonly used in flue systems, some applications call for specific materials and finishes to withstand demanding operating conditions or to meet aesthetic and architectural requirements.

On request, we can evaluate steels with higher corrosion resistance for particularly aggressive flue gases or acidic condensate, specific thicknesses and surface treatments for harsh environments, and dedicated finishes or coatings when the component remains visible.

The choice of material depends on the type of fuel, the flue gas temperature, the presence of condensate and the installation context.

How we work to measure and to drawing

Customization covers geometry, dimensions and materials. We produce parts with non-commercial diameters and shapes to connect to specific systems and appliances, custom lengths and runs to reduce joints or cover the exact section, extra thicknesses where greater mechanical strength or a longer service life is needed under demanding conditions, and non-standard geometries when the component’s shape cannot be a traditional one.

The process is clearly defined:

  1. Analysis of requirements and data collection — technical drawing or client specifications, dimensions, constraints, operating conditions, type of appliance and fuel.
  2. Technical definition of the solution, with the most suitable geometry, material and thickness, agreed with the client or based on the project received.
  3. Production to specification, according to the agreed drawing or parameters.
  4. Delivery of the part ready for installation or assembly.

Do you have a technical drawing or a requirement that doesn’t fit standard products? Tell us about the part’s characteristics and operating conditions: our technical office will help you define the most suitable special component, or build it directly from your drawing.
